Black Mountain
In the southern Appalachian Mountains, just East of Asheville, you will find the small town of Black Mountain. Here, they have a little bit of everything. There are a variety of shops that will appeal to all members of your family. When you get hungry you don’t have to look far to find a restaurant, whether you want a quick bite or fine dining. If you need to relax after a filling meal you may want to sit in one of many rocking chairs lining the streets, or, just a few blocks away from downtown there is Lake Tomahawk, where you can take a nice stroll and enjoy the mountain views. Black Mountain is a good option if you want to take a day trip or if you need a home base to visit other places such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore House, Lake Lure or other attractions.
